Last Day of June

I am quite sad today to see the month of June coming to an end.  That just means that an entire month of summer has passed and I can barely recall what I've been doing!  July is going to be a BUSY month for me.  I am co-hosting a wedding shower for a dear friend of mine and I am planning my 10 year highschool reunion for the end of July.  As much fun as everything is going to be, it can also get a little stressful at times.  But, I have so much to look forward to!

What I am really looking forward to is the upcoming Fourth of July weekend.  We are going to the beach for three nights and then going to my parents' house in Daphne for the fourth and to get a taste of my Dad's grilling skills :)  I cannot wait to see our family and friends!  This is a loooong overdue vacation for me.  Here's what I'll be day dreaming about at work today and tomorrow. It's going to be a long couple of days...

Beach, Here We Come!!  Now I just need to make a packing list...

John and Amy's Wedding

A week ago on June 18th, 2011, my brother married his beautiful bride, Amy, in Mobile, Alabama! The wedding weekend was so much fun that I was so sad on Sunday when I had to leave everyone.  The wedding festivities started off on Friday morning with a lingerie shower given to Amy by all of the bridesmaids.  Following the lingerie shower was the bridesmaids' luncheon at the Russells' house.  It was great to spend some quality time with the bride and fellow bridesmaids before the wedding rush began!

On Friday night, my parents hosted the after-rehearal dinner at the Bienville Club in Mobile. The dinner was delicious and the crowd was great!  It was so nice to catch up with family and friends that I have not seen in awhile.  I think everyone had a great time!

The wedding was the following day at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with the reception following at the Country Club of Mobile.  Everything was beautiful, especially the bride!  I had a blast with my family and friends.  I enjoyed spending time with all of the bridesmaids as well.  They are so much fun!  Here's a couple pictures of the bridesmaids who are totally awesome!

I am so happy for my brother and his new wife. Welcome to the family, Amy! I know that they are very happy and I wish them the best!  I hope that they are having fun on their honeymoon in Italy.  I can't wait to hear stories and see pictures.  But for now, here are some pictures of us at the wedding with the fam.

London and Paris!!

So, as most of you know, Erol and I went to London and Paris last year with my parents, brother, and his now wife, Amy.  We had great family bonding time.  I thought I would share a few pictures and stories with you.  I know this was a year ago but I haven't shared the pictures with a lot of people.

Here we are at Big Ben

And the Tower of London

Then, we were off to Paris for one night via the fastest train I've ever been on.  For our one night in Paris, we ate dinner on top of the Eiffel Tower.  It was a wonderful meal.  However, before we set foot on the elevator to get to the restaurant, my brother proposed to his girlfriend!!  It was very exciting!!

Of course, we had to get our picture taken with the Eiffel Tower

The next day, we did the typical tourist stuff such as the Louvre, and a bus tour around the beautiful city.  I loved Paris and I cannot wait to go back!

Warning: New Blogger!

Hello Blogging World!  It's nice to meet you.  My name is Terri Lynn Wallace and I do NOT know what I'm doing but hope to catch on to this blogging thing soon.

Some people might ask "Why do you want to blog?"  My answer is pretty simple: to keep family and friends who are not on facebook up-to-date with what is going on in my life (and even those who are on facebook since I rarely update my page).  I have been  married for a little over 2 1/2 years to my wondeful husband, Erol.  We love to travel and spend time with family and friends and I have finally decided to share some stories with everyone.

Since we have been married, we have traveled to Manzanillo, Mexico, St. Barths, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Pasadena (roll tide).  Last year, we traveled to London and Paris with my parents, brother and his wife.  At the time, my brother was not even engaged but he proposed to Amy before dinner at the Eiffell Tower!

So, here's my story of life, love and travel.  I hope you enjoy!
